A man has been taken to hospital after he collapsed in front of the town hall.
Paramedics and police flocked to Jubilee Square shortly before 2pm this afternoon and treated the patient, who was laying seemingly unresponsive on the ground.
He was then lifted onto a stretcher and appeared to be conscious as he was moved into the back of the ambulance.
He was taken to Maidstone hospital for treatment.
In total two ambulances, a police car and a vehicle owned by the South East Coast Ambulance attended the scene, after reports of concerns for a man's safety.
Police Community Support Officers also assisted.
