A 37-year-old man was arrested this morning in connection with an allegation of fraud carried out in Maidstone.

The man was stopped in Hoath Way, Gillingham, at 11am by officers from the Kent Road Policing Unit on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.

The fraud was alleged to have taken place in the County Town on Friday.

The man who is said to be of no fixed address remains in custody.
