A man has been hit by a car in Maidstone.

Police were called to Royal Engineers Road, near the White Rabbit roundabout, at around 7.20pm.

The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was treated by paramedics at the scene for injuries including a head injury.

He was later taken to King's College Hospital for further treatment.
