A man has been injured and another arrested after a fight in Maidstone on Tuesday night.

The altercation happened in Hedley Street, Penenden Heath, just before 10pm.

A 38-year-old man suffered wounds to his face and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.

Police say they have also arrested another man, 23, in connection with the incident.

A spokesman for Maidstone Police said: "Officers are currently questioning a 23-year-old man in connection with the incident.
