Kent commuters are facing delays after a man was hit and killed by a train near Dunton Green this afternoon.
Police and paramedics were called to the tracks at shortly before 3pm, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Southeastern said services between London Bridge and Sevenoaks could be cancelled, delayed or revised at short notice.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Enquires are ongoing to establish the identity of the man and inform his family.
"A file will be prepared for the coroner."
The man died after being struck by the 1.25pm service from Dover to Charing Cross.
Buses are replacing some trains between Sevenoaks and Orpington until this evening.
At 5pm, Southeastern said: "Southern Railway services are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice. Arrangements have been made for Southeastern rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys."
Disruption was expected until about 6pm.
