Road rage attack in Boxley Hill leaves man with broken nose

A man has spoken out after his nose was broken in a road rage argument.

Alex Clark, from Maidstone, had been travelling through the Boxley area from Medway when he crashed into the back of a black Mercedes B Class, which had come to a sudden stop.

Mr Clark got out of his car to speak with the driver but was met with threats of being stabbed with a screwdriver.

The driver then head butted him and broke his nose before driving off.

Mr Clark asked people to get in touch with him if they had any information in a Facebook post.

It read: "Not how I hoped my Thursday would go.

"Heading down Boxley Hill from Medway to Maidstone. Car in front of me stopped inexplicably in the middle of the road.

"I braked but with the greasy road, skidded into the back of him. "
He notes there was no damage to either vehicle.

The post continues: "Got out to check everything was okay. Greeted by the fella wielding a screwdriver threatening to stab me.

"In the end he settled for breaking my nose with his forehead and driving off."

According to the post the car already had a smashed rear window.
A police spokesman: "Officers are investigating an alleged assault near Boxley, Maidstone.

"Kent Police was called at 12.30pm on Thursday 26 September 2019 after a motorist reported being assaulted following a collision involving two vehicles on Boxley Hill.

"The suspect left the scene in a car described as a black Mercedes with a smashed rear window."
