POLICE are appealing for information after an assault in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A 36-year-old male victim is alleged to have been punched in the back of the head by another man in Maidstone High Street between 2.10am and 2.15am.

The suspect is then said to have made his way along the High Street attempting to insight others into fighting with him.

A 19-year-old man from Maidstone was arrested on suspicion of assualt but he has been bailed pending further enquiries.
