Police are looking into reports a man has been approaching children from his car.

Concerned residents posted on social media after a male driver attracted suspicion near shops in Egremont Road, Bearsted.

Police said the incident happened at around 6.10pm yesterday and they are looking into reports two children were involved.

Officers searched the area but did not find the vehicle. Inquiries are ongoing.

Police spokesman James Walker said a third party reported the incident to the force.
