Man taken to hospital after being hit on head in Maidstone

Police are hunting a man after another was hit on the head and had to be taken to hospital.

A man in his 40s was attacked at about 8.30pm last night in Lower Stone Street, Maidstone.

He was taken to hospital with a head injury, but has since been discharged.

Police have issued a description of a man they are trying to locate in relation to the incident.

He is said to have a European accent, was of athletic build, medium length hair with short facial hair and was wearing an orange puffer jacket.

Inquiries are ongoing and officers are urging anyone who saw the incident, or who has any information, to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/208240/20 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
