'Drunk' arrested for throwing beer at police at Wateringbury railway station

A man has been arrested after throwing beer over police at a railway station.

British Transport Police said the man was arrested at Wateringbury, near Maidstone, last night.

He had been arrested for being drunk and disorderly and assaulting an emergency worker "by throwing beer over them."

He was spotted during a joint patrol between police officers and Southeastern enforcement officers at the railway station in Bow Road.

BTP says he has now been released while investigations continue.
