Arrests after fight at The Royal Paper Mill pub in Tovil Hill

A fight at a pub near Maidstone led to four men and a teenager being arrested and some people requiring hospital treatment.

A brawl between two groups is reported have started at The Royal Paper Mill in Tovil Hill, Tovil, which then spilled on to the road, on the evening on August 7.

Police and paramedics were called.

Two men, aged 22 and 26, were arrested at the scene. On August 14, two more male suspects, aged 17 and 47, were also arrested.

All four were arrested on suspicion of affray offences and are currently on bail while inquiries continue.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 8.15pm on Friday, August 7 to a disturbance at The Royal Paper Mill, in Tovil Hill.

"A fight is reported to have taken place which then spilled out onto the road. Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended, and a number of people required hospital treatment for injuries."
