A shocking video appears to show 'migrants' poking their heads out the back of a lorry.

Kent Police confirmed it was called to services on Detling Hill, near Maidstone, at around 3pm to reports of two people in a trailer of a HGV.

Officers carried out a search of the area around the Shell garage on the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A249 where the lorry was parked.

Rob MacLeod, 29, from Bearsted, who works near the site said he saw the 'migrants' in the back and recorded the scene.

His video shows someone's head popping out of a rip in the canvas.

His colleagues saw a lorry pull up at the services and then the 'migrants' make a rip in the trailer.

He said: "There were a couple of staff from the garage talking to someone inside."
