Kent County Council warns residents after misleading Covid-19 flyers delivered in Maidstone

Residents are being warned to look out for "misleading and potentially dangerous" Covid-19 leaflets.

People in the Maidstone area are receiving anonymous flyers about the pandemic through their letterboxes, but Kent County Council says they give incorrect information.

The local authority is concerned it may lead some to ignore important advice about symptoms or avoiding infection.

Everyone is urged to follow the government guidance, and use trusted websites such as gov.uk, the NHS and the ONS for updates.
