Tinker the cat found in Cranbrook after vanishing near Northumberland Road, Maidstone

It's a Christmas miracle as a missing moggie is found... almost a year on.

Tinker, the adventurous cat, vanished mysteriously from her home in late 2014 and her owners had eventually come to terms with the fact they may never be reunited.

The pet was discovered at a vets near Cranbrook, and her journey over the past 12 months remains a mystery.

Tinker was found almost a year after going missing

Mote Park Veterinary Surgery posted the incredible story on Facebook last night, dubbing it the 'story of the decade'.

Her owners, and the vets, thank the 'magic of the Microchip' which was able to confirm her identity.

Tinker recently turned up at a vets in the village, around 11 miles away, with only a minor wound.

One theory is that she could have hidden under a bonnet of a car in Maidstone only to discover she was miles from home, and fend for herself in the wild before cleverly handing herself in.

Do you know anything about Tinker's travels? If so, let us know on 01622 695 666.
