POLICE have called off their search for a missing Maidstone woman after she was found to be at a friend's house in the Gillingham area.

Police had issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of Jacqueline Hewitt, 41, after her mother reported that she had not be seen since last Saturday.

The mother-of-three children was found safe and well on New Year's Day.
