A moped has been seized by police after it was discovered being ridden, by a 16-year-old boy, in an antisocial manner twice in two days.

On Sunday, officers caught someone riding the vehicle around a field off Brishing Lane, Maidstone.

They issued the moped with a section 59 warning, which states that if the person or vehicle is stopped again for being a nuisance, within a one-year period, the vehicle can be seized and impounded by police.

Yesterday, Monday, a community support officer spotted the same moped being driven on a pavement in Bellmeadow, Park Wood, with two passengers on the back.

The bike was seized at 1.50pm yesterday.
