Roads closed in Maidstone, Malling, Weald and Sevenoaks after heavy rain overnight

Several roads have closed in Maidstone, Malling and Weald due to flooding.
Kent was hit with torrential downpours over night, causing disruptions to roads and rail services.

- Cliff Road, Boughton Monchelsea - Road closed near The Quarries and due to open on Friday, December 27
- M26 J2a eastbound slip road for Wrotham and A20 London Road - Closed and no indication as to when it will reopen yet
- Bull Road, Birling - Closed between Birling Road and Snodland Road. Reopening date not yet known
- Water Lane, Thurnham - Shut until Friday, December 27 due to flooding
- Norton Road, Chart Sutton - Closed between Plough Wents Road and Warmlake Road and it is not yet known when it will reopen
- Coppings Road, Leigh - Road closed until Friday, December 27 with no alternative route. Efforts will be made to maintain access for residents where possible
- A26 Hadlow Road East, Tonbridge - Closed until Friday, December 27
- Hartlake Road, Hadlow - Flooded between Five Oak Green Road and Three Elm Lane. Due to open on Monday, December 23
- Mile Oak Road, Paddock Wood - Emergency flood clearance works underway between Mascalls Court Lane and Mascalls Court Road. Expected to be completed on Monday, January 6
- Hever Road, Edenbridge - Closed until Friday, December 27
- Honeypot Lane, Edenbridge - Closed at junction with Hilders Lane. Not yet known when it will reopen
- Clinton Road, Hever - Closed between Ide Hill and How Green Lane
- Clapper Lane, Staplehurst - Closed for up to 21 days between Maidstone Road and George Street
- Riding Lane, Hildenborough - Closed between Hildenbrook Farm and Vines Lane. Expected to reopen Friday, January 3
- Stonestile Road, Headcorn - Shut until Friday, December 27 between Maidstone Road and Plumtree Road
- Plumtree Road, Headcorn - Road closed until Tuesday, December 24
- New Barn Road, Hawkenbury - No access between Maidstone Road and Four Oaks Lane. Expected to reopen Monday, December 2
- Croydon Road, Westerham - Closed between Rysted Land and Pilgrims Lane
- New Road, Penshurst - Road closed between Sandfield Road and Springhouse. There is no alternative route. Efforts will be made to maintain access for residents where possible.
- The Broadway, Lamberhurst - Entire road closed and no alternative route.
Roads reported flooded:
- A20 London Road, Maidstone - Lane blocked near Mills Road
- B2162 Hampstead Lane, Yalding - Flooded near the train station
- B2163 Leeds Road, near Langley - Delays near Ulcombe Road/Heath Road due to flooding
- Priory Road, Tonbridge - Flooded between Priory Street and Lavender Hill. Drivers advised to approach with caution and use alternatives routes
- Birling Road, Ryarsh - Carriageway flooded between The Street and Bull Road causing delays
- Basell Road, Paddock Wood - Drivers report a large amount of water and tractors pulling cars out
Drivers were faced with a difficult commute this morning and some people got stuck in their car battling the wet weather.
