A new coffee shop has opened in a town centre.

Koffee and Buns in the Royal Star Arcade shopping centre in Maidstone started welcoming customers today (Thursday).

The shop is selling a variety of coffees, cold drinks and milkshakes.

Koffee and Buns is owned by Easydine catering company which currently has a street-food stall in Lockmeadow entertainment centre.

As well as serving wraps, sandwiches and cakes, they will be bringing their specialty bao buns to the new cafe.

The shop will be open from Monday to Saturday from 8.45am to 5.30pm.

The Royal Star Arcade shopping centre is home to a several independent shops and cafes as well as an escape room hub and jewellers.

Last year, two stores closed just months apart.

Maidstone Health Foods is believed to have ceased trading in April, and Custom and Co Jewellers in May.

But owners of eatery Pad Thai Live, Richy and Nic Williams, continue to succeed at the shopping centre.

Last Spring, the couple opened a Beach Bar next door, serving both alcoholic and soft drinks as well as bubble tea.
