The head teacher of a prep school has resigned.

Sutton Valence Preparatory School head teacher Craig Gibbs tendered his resignation to governors this week.

A statement released on Thursday, July 2 from the school said: "In the light of the imminent changes at Sutton Valence School, Craig Gibbs decided that this time was appropriate for him to explore new opportunities and challenges which have been presented to him. The governors have agreed in those circumstances to accept his resignation."

The statement went on to thank Mr Gibbs, pictured, for his work at the school and wished him and his wife Susan every best wish for the future.
