Road works on Broadway near Maidstone West Station set for tonight

Overnight road works are set to be completed in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

The lane closures along Broadway, in Maidstone will last from 7pm, tonight, until 7am.

The site near Maidstone West Train Station will by partly shut as work is carried out to repair potholes.

Yesterday saw crews arrive and begin the repairs, which are part of the Pothole Blitz campaign set up by Kent County Council.

Paul Rose tweeted to Kent Online: "A notice would have been nice.

"We have children trying to sleep.

"We have now had to resort to closing the windows to keep the dust noise and smell out and the temperature is quickly rising."

Multiple vehicles were situated along the road and orange cones were put out to direct drivers.
