An opening date for a fast food franchise has been revealed.
Pepe’s Piri Piri restaurant will be moving into the former TSB in Maidstone High Street next month.
The chicken shop’s grand opening will be on September 10.
Customers can order in-store and via local food delivery sites such as Uber Eats and Just Eat, as well as on the restaurant's mobile app, Pepe’s Piri Piri, which is hosted by Flipdish.
Pepe’s is a piri-piri chicken franchise with 187 stores nationwide.
Its menu features wraps, burgers, wings, and chicken and rice boxes.
It’s first branch to arrive to Kent opened in Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells, two years ago.
The new Maidstone restaurant will be the second in the county.
News of another restaurant followed an application to convert the former TSB last year.
The proposal outlined a transformation of the ground floor into a 46-seat eatery and takeaway.
The basement would be used for storage, staff toilets and a changing space.

In March the plans were given the green light by Maidstone council.
Soon after, a sign of the chain was placed where the old TSB hanging logo once sat.
The bank shut down in 2022 and the unit had been vacant since.
The closure was a result of TSB shutting down a number of its branches following the pandemic.
Customer habits changed as people turned to online banking during lockdown, leading to reduced footfall when stores opened after.
