People visiting nightclubs and pubs in Maidstone have been warned to keep their phones safe following a spate of thefts.
Kent Police says eight mobile phones were stolen on the weekend between Friday, March 20 and Sunday, March 22.
Criminals target valuable items left unattended on tables and bar tops and in women’s handbags.
Maidstone Chief Inspector Mick Gardner said: "Many people leave valuables, including their phones unattended when visiting pubs and clubs.
"It is possible that a number of the phones reported stolen have simply been lost, however it can be easy for opportunist thieves to operate in locations where there are so many people around.
"Don’t make it easy for thieves. Don’t leave valuables unattended while you’re out and keep an eye out for anyone acting suspiciously."
