A play area has been found covered in glass after yobs smashed bottles.

A warning was posted on social media at 10am today (August 25), together with photos of the mess.

It said: “Mangravet skateboard and children’s play area, beware this was this morning.

“Don’t let your children or pets wander around there.

“Please share so the most people can see, eventually the culprits will be made aware and may feel some pang of guilt.”

In February last year, barriers were installed nearby to restrict antisocial motorcyclists following months of chaos.

It is understood that the latest mess has been reported to Maidstone council, which manages the site.

The post prompted several angry comments, with one person branding it as “disgusting” and a “waste of taxpayer money”.

“Some people have no shame. Makes you wonder where their parents are,” a user said.

Another added: “Seriously what is wrong with people? It’s not the best but the kids like playing up there and now can’t.”

The council has been contacted for a comment.
