Police and paramedics called to Toby Carvery in Maidstone

A large emergency service presence was spotted at a Toby Carvery restaurant after a man injured himself with a knife.

Several officers and paramedics were pictured at the site next to Aldi, off Sutton Road, Maidstone, at around 10.50am yesterday.

Police and paramedics were called to Toby Carvery in Maidstone on Monday

A police spokesman confirmed the force was called after reports of a disturbance at the Langley Park site.

They added: “Kent Police was called to the scene where a man was reported to have suffered self-inflicted injuries with a knife.

“Officers attended along with medical crews and the man was passed into the care of medical professionals.

“The injuries were not life-threatening.”
