An elderly man has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car in Aylesford.

The 80-year-old was struck by a blue Ford Focus at the roundabout on the Quarry Wood Industrial Estate at about midday yesterday.

He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with serious, but not life threatening, injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to phone 01622 798571, quoting incident reference 04-0559.
