Police officers were called to Maidstone town centre this afternoon after a fight broke out between two women.

The violent altercation happened outside Betfred in High Street, at around 4pm.

The two people involved were seen shouting at each other before leaving the scene.

Kent Police said it had received a number of calls about the incident.
