Police no longer investigating reports of child 'kidnapped' in Huntington Road in Coxheath

Police are no longer investigating reports a boy was 'kidnapped and blindfolded' and taken into the woods by two men.

It had been alleged that a 10-year-old boy was blindfolded and taken into woods in Huntington Road in Coxheath where the incident is reported to have happened.

The alleged incident was reported to police at about 4pm on Tuesday, February 16, and officers confirmed the boy returned home safely.

Earlier this week police had confirmed they were carrying out initial inquiries to establish the full circumstances into the reported incident.

But today, a police spokesman confirmed officers were no longer making inquires into the matter.

The spokesman said: "Inquiries have concluded and officers deem no further action is required."
