Police search for missing Maidstone boy amid growing concerns for his welfare

Officers are seeking help to locate a teenage boy amid growing concerns for his welfare.

Russel Burrdett-Deakin was reported missing from his home in Maidstone at about 6.30pm on Wednesday.

Russell has been missing since yesterday

Russel is 17 and of slim build. He has dark hair with blue colourings and was last seen wearing red or maroon bottoms, along with a red Champion hooded top.

Russel was also carrying a black Under Armor rucksack.

Police are asking for dashcam and CCTV footage to assist in their search.

Ch Insp Mark McLellan said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Russel’s welfare and are urging anyone who has seen him to contact us.

“Officers are asking drivers who were in the area at the time he went missing and residents with private CCTV to check for relevant footage.”

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 999 immediately, quoting reference 06-1384.
