Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a primary school.

Crews from Maidstone were called to Bell Wood Community Primary in Brishing Lane, Parkwood, at 5.50pm on Saturday, December 27.

The blaze had starded in an outbuilding and was "well alight" by the time fire officers arrived.

The fire spread to the main school building but caused minimal damage, Kent Fire and Rescue Service said.

The school will be open as planned on Monday, January 5.
