Woman taken to hospital after pedestrian hit by minibus in Hermitage Lane, Maidstone

A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a minibus and a pedestrian.

Police were called at 9.20am yesterday (May 8) to Hermitage Lane in Maidstone.

Ambulance crews were also sent.

People put up posts on social media to say the road had been closed.

“Serious accident on Hermitage Lane,” said one post.

“A pedestrian not a car accident but the road is closed both ways. Please allow time and/or make alternative plans.”

A police spokesman said a woman was assessed and treated before being taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

And they confirmed her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
