A road was closed for more than 10 hours following an incident involving an e-scooter and a car.

Police shut Heath Road in Coxheath, near Maidstone, at about 10pm last night.

The air ambulance was called to the scene, with police taping off the road to conduct investigations.

The road was shut in both directions between Park Way and Clockhouse Rise, but reopened at about 8am.

The emergency services have been contacted for more information.
