The A21 has now been cleared in both directions after two cars crashed.

Police confirmed they were called to the accident just after 12.20pm near Cryals Road, Kipping’s Cross and that occupants of one of the vehicles have fled the scene on foot.

Clay Hill Road, Lamberhurst to Maidstone Road, Kipping's Cross Roundabout had been blocked to assist the emergency services.

A spokesman for Kent Police confirmed that officers remain at the scene whilst recovery for the cars is arranged.

Attempts to track down those missing from the scene are also taking place.
