A road has been closed after a four vehicle crash.

Police were called shortly before 10am after a collision involving two lorries and two cars on North Street in Sutton Valence.

Emergency services attended the scene, close to the High Street junction, where a driver was treated for minor injuries.

The road will remain closed between High Street and South Lane while the vehicles are recovered.

Cars approaching from Maidstone are being diverted left into the High Street and Lower Road, and then onto South Lane and back onto the A274.

The reverse route is in place for cars coming from Headcorn.

Lorries and buses are being escorted past the scene of the collision due to narrow lanes on the diversion route.

Drivers are warned to expect delays.
