A road has been closed for emergency carriageway repairs.

Dean Street in East Farleigh is shut between Forge Lane and Lower Road.

The official diversion is via the B2010 Lower Road, Ewell Lane and the B2163 Heath Road, adding several miles to the journey.

The road will remain closed throughout tomorrow, Friday.

There have already been traffic delays in the road with SGN working on a gas main in Dean Street.

That work is expected to continue until November 14.

Further disruption for motorists is expected in the area with Gallants Lane in East Farleigh due to close for one day on October 30 to allow pole testing works to be carried out by telephone company Openreach. The closure will be near Furminger House.

This coming Tuesday, October 18, Forge Lane in East Farleigh will be closed while South East Water fix a broken water main.
