Rod Stewart, Raye and the Sugababes to perform at Jools’ Annual Hootenanny, filmed in Maidstone Studios

A British rock and pop legend has been announced as one of the guests at a televised New Year’s Eve party.
Rod Stewart will be performing alongside a host of singers, actors, and comedians at Jools Holland’s Annual Hootenanny.
The former Squeeze band member, who lives in Rochester, will return to our screens on Sunday (December 31).
He will be ringing in 2024 in fine style, taking centre stage with his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.
The event was pre-recorded at Maidstone Studios on Wednesday, December 13, at the studios in Vinters Park.
Fans were given the chance to be a part of the audience by entering a draw, where tickets were selected at random.
Viewers can expect the very best music from a mix of the biggest stars, as well as the brightest new talent and special guests.
Rod Stewart's appearance will be his Hootenanny debut.
The 78-year-old has recently announced the release of a new album, Swing Fever, which is a collaboration with Jools.
On the show he will perform alongside Joss Stone, Olivia Dean, Paul Jones, PP Arnold, Raye, Sugababes and The Mary Wallopers.
There’ll also be music from Boogie Woogie Queen and powerhouse vocalist Ruby Turner.
The Pipes & Drums of the 1st Battalion Scot Guards will feature as well when the hour strikes midnight.
Plus, Jools will hear from comedians, actors, and more stars of 2023 from amongst the audience about their predictions and resolutions for the New Year.
Previous guests who have appeared on the show include Ed Sheeran, Vic Reeves, Sir Tom Jones, Lulu, Michael Buble and Nile Rodgers.
