Marden will be buzzing tomorrow.
Not only will hundreds of protesters be taking to the streets in a march to oppose housing plans, but also Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, will making a visit.
The Countess is visiting the Marden Sports Club in Maidstone Road to open its new tennis, golf, cricket and hockey facilities.
Her trip to the Weald will be something of a home-coming for her. She grew up in Brenchley, went to School at Dulwich Prep in Cranbrook and then at Kent College Pembury.
The club is hosting a full day's programme of events starting with junior cricket and tennis coaching starting at 9.30am.
The Duchess is due to arrive at 11.15am.
The entertainment rolls on into the afternoon with a cricket match between Marden and Shoreham, followed by a veterans over-60s hockey match between the home club and an England Masters team.
There will be a hog roast in the evening.
