An aspiring young DJ's online sets have gone down a storm - and now she is getting the chance to perform to thousands of dance fans on kmfm.
Emily Allen has been playing for party lovers during virtual club nights organised by her dad Jon and broadcast from their home in Allington, near Maidstone.
Now the 10-year-old has been offered the chance to kick things off on this evening's edition of Floorfiller Anthems with Rob Wills when it broadcasts to the county at 7pm.
Andy Walker, deputy programme manager at kmfm, spotted the Allington Primary School pupil's potential after seeing her on the decks in a Facebook video.
He said: "There are many people doing lots of cool things to entertain us all online during lockdown, like video call quizzes, viral challenges and live music streams from their homes.
"That's when Emily caught our attention, and we thought, 'What a cool music set, let's give her a go on kmfm'. With Emily being a Kent girl too and kmfm being a Kent radio station, it's a great match.
"We have watched the video so we already know she's a good DJ, and her music style will fit in with our weekend show, Floorfiller Anthems. We look forward to her making her debut on kmfm this Friday night at 7pm."
Reacting to the news of her big break on the radio, Emily said: "‘I feel really lucky to have the opportunity. Rob Wills told me the last DJ to do a guest mix was David Guetta, so no pressure.
"I hope I’ll do a good job and do everyone proud."
