Kent Highways says repair work in Leeds is not likely to finish for another five weeks.
Upper Street, a major road in the village, has been closed since it collapsed in November.
It was initially hoped that the complex job would be complete by the end of May but bad weather and the discovery of more complications has added to the workload.
Utility work will continue this week and road surfaces, pavements and kerbs will not be constructed until all of this has finished.
The reinstatement of a water main has finished but it will not be returned to homes until South East Water declares it safe.
It is hoped a highway drainage system and reconstructed boundary walls will be in place by the end of the week, with contractors working seven days a week.
Last week saw a low pressure gas main installed and all properties should be connected to it by the end of the weekend.
BT has fitted three telecoms boxes have been fitted and it is hoped these will be fully functional by Tuesday, May 20.
Work to reconnect electricity supplies on the western side of the road are ongoing.
