Man threatened staff with improvised weapon in Shepway, Maidstone

A man who threatened shop staff with an improvised weapon this morning was caught by officers.

Kent Police roads unit assisted the Maidstone force in tracking down the shoplifter who had "made off" after the incident in Shepway.

The suspect was located in an address nearby and arrested by officers who then went on to seize his weapon and goods.
