Pictures show the fire, which started shortly before 4.45am, caused significant damage to the house at Little Halstead Farm, which is home to a dog park called Little Halstead Hounds.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service advised people to avoid the area and neighbours to keep their windows and doors closed because of the smoke at the height of the blaze.

Firefighting efforts ended at just before 10am, but crews will revisit the house to ensure any hotspots are dampened down.
