Snow and sleet starts falling in Maidstone and Blue Bell Hill

Snow has begun falling in parts of Maidstone and Tonbridge and Malling this afternoon.

Just when we hoped we could look forward to sunny weekends and even a heatwave, the weather turned against us.

Alan Chatfield spots snow starting to fall in Wrotham.

The top of Blue Bell Hill has seen a flurry of the white stuff, as has the centre of Sevenoaks.

Maidstone has also seen a sleet shower.

Chatham and Aylesford MP - and keen sportswoman - Tracey Crouch said girls football practice tonight was cancelled due to snow on the pitch.

The training was due to take place at Holcombe Hockey Club, at Blue Bell Hill.
