Organisers of Maidstone’s newest festival promise to keep clubbers entertained this spring and summer with a series of warm-up shows.

The team behind The Social, which made a successful debut in Mote Park last year, has announced plans for up to three smaller concerts.

One, called Landed, will take place in Millennium Park, off St Peter’s Street, on Sunday, April 20, between 11am and 10pm. Details of the other two are yet to be revealed.

A hundred early-bird tickets for the 1,500 capacity arena sold out within two hours of Saturday’s announcement at 7pm, despite the line-up remaining a closely guarded secret.

Another 100 saver tickets were released at 6pm today.

The Social, which will return in September, attracted more than 6,000 people on the first day, aimed at people over 18, and another 3,000 at a family-friendly event the next day.

The brand is the brainchild of world-famous DJ Nic Fanciulli, who was born in Maidstone and lives in West Malling, and business partner Luke Bendall.

Mr Bendall, who will take charge of the upcoming shows, said: “My team and I are looking at putting on two or three specialist house events in never-before-used venues in and around Maidstone.

“Although not nearly as big as The Social planned for September, we hope to achieve a very similar vibe.

"Expect world renowned DJ's, lighting, sound and production in a safe and controlled arena."

The remaining 800 tickets, priced at £25, will go on sale at 6pm on Friday via The Landed Facebook page or the ticketscript website.
