The son of a keen cyclist killed in a car accident says he wants to "move away" from the driver's sentencing.
John Durey, 69, from Lenham, died from injuries he received in a head on accident on the A2070 near Ashford last May.
Oliver Durey has been raising money for Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance since his father's death.
Following last week's sentencing, Mr Durey said: "There's been a lot of anger over the result.
"I would like dad to be remembered in a positive light, to move away from the sentencing and direct that energy somewhere else.
"These things happen, they are harrowing and its extremely difficult but the only sensible thing for me is to move forward.
"Dad felt really strongly about the air ambulance and did a lot to raise money for them in his life, so I wanted to do the same.
So far nearly £3,500 has been raised in John Durey's memory.
