Land Rover stolen in Lenham is abandoned in Faversham after getting stuck in mud

A Land Rover allegedly stolen from Lenham overnight has been dumped after it became stuck in mud.

Police were called at 11.30pm yesterday after a the vehicle was stolen in High Street, Lenham

After an extensive search, the vehicle was discovered in Vicarage Lane, Faversham, around 10 miles away.

Police arrested a man after spotting a suspicious vehicle

Officers believe it was abandoned after it became stuck in some mud.

Patrols then spotted a suspicious car speeding away from the area.

After stopping the car, police arrested its driver on suspicion of theft, going equipped to steal and driving whilst disqualified.

The suspect, a 31-year-old man from Harrietsham, remains in custody while the investigation continues.
