A 30-year-old man from Maidstone has received a suspended prison sentence for threatening behavior and carrying a baseball bat and large knife in public.

Daniel Cuttell, of St Peter’s Street, received a 60 day sentence, suspended for one year, after admitting carrying the baseball bat and a billhook for no good reason on Tuesday, July 15.

Cuttell appeared at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court, in Palace Avenue, on Wednesday, August 6.

Magistrates sentenced him to a total of 60 days in prison, suspended for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
