Teenagers from Gillingham and Dartford charged after suspected stabbing in Bargrove Road, Vinters Park, Maidstone

Two teenagers are due to appear in court after a 17-year-old boy was left in a serious condition in hospital with a suspected stab wound.

Police were called to reports of a fight outside an address in Bargrove Road, Vinters Park, Maidstone at around 9.30pm on Sunday, June 30.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but was released on bail while inquiries continue.

On Tuesday, three more arrests were made and two men have since been charged.

Derrick Okoh, 18, of Brown Street, Rainham, was charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon - a glass bottle.

Ezekiel Barnes-Naseno, 18, of Abbey Drive, Dartford, was charged with the same offences but is alleged to have had a knife.

Okoh and Barnes-Naseno were remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on July 4 and must now stay in custody to wait to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Aug 1 for plea and trial preparations.

An 18-year-old woman from London was arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
