Maidstone: Teens arrested following disturbance in Cumberland Avenue, Shepway

Two teenagers have been arrested and charged after a disturbance in Maidstone on Halloween.

Police were called to Cumberland Avenue, Shepway, around 8.20pm on Tuesday, where a number of people were instructed by officers to leave the area in accordance with the terms of a dispersal order.

Blessed Banda, 18, was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of obstructing a constable and failing to comply with the direction to leave the area.

The Pickering Street resident was bailed to appear before Maidstone Magistrates Court on Friday, December 1.

A 16-year-old boy from Maidstone was also arrested and charged with failing to comply with the direction to leave the area.

He was bailed to appear before Medway Youth Court on Tuesday, November 14.
