Third arrest over armed raid on Andrew Smith Jewellers in West Malling

A third man has been arrested by police investigating an armed robbery at a jeweller's in West Malling.
The 27-year-old was held yesterday over the raid at Andrew Smith Jewellers and remains in police custody today.
Two masked men armed with an axe stormed the store and stole a large amount of jewellery on Friday, August 9.
A CCTV image showed a staff member threatened by a man wearing a plastic protective suit and yellow gloves at about 1.30pm.
Witnesses described how a blue Peugeot 106 car was waiting outside - and a third unmasked man was the getaway driver.
Unconfirmed reports suggested the robbers fled along Offham Road - before changing cars to an Audi or Mercedes.

Two men, aged 27 and 29, previously arrested on suspicion of robbery were released on police bail pending further inquiries until Monday, October 21.
Now the third man - a 27 year-old from London - has been was arrested in West Sussex.
Staff in the jeweller's were not injured, but are said to have been badly shaken up.
