The alleged incident happened last Friday afternoon in the village of Bearsted, near Maidstone.
At about 1.35pm, a 59-year-old woman withdrew a large amount cash from the NatWest bank on Ashford Road.
A man, believed to be in his late 30s or early 40s, snatched the money and attempted to drive away in what was believed to be a silver Ford Fiesta.

The woman is not thought to have been injured during this incident.
DI Kris Hill, who is leading the investigation said: “This was a particularly callous crime with the offender showing extreme ruthlessness to get away. We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident early on Friday afternoon, or anyone who can help us identify the man in the picture."
