Three-storey living beside the river

MONCKTONS Reach in Maidstone offers a different look at “three-storey living.”

The development is on the banks of the River Medway and features three distinct styles of town house.

Period-style features include grand bay windows, French doors opening onto Juliet balconies, colonaded front doors and pretty gables.

Inside, room layouts are well considered and the specification is both high and contemporary.

Moncktons Reach comprises 22 properties set in a mature landscaped environment offering the benefits of town and country living.

While some of Ward's tall house designs take a traditional approach - such as at Moncktons Reach - others eschew the period look for a clean, crisp modern style instead.

Ward Homes' Kingsgate development, also in Maidstone, is a prime example of a developer taking a classic three-storey layout and adding a 21st century twist.

Red brick contrasts with the white weatherboard so typical of the Kentish vernacular, while pale blue Juliet balconies add an unusual splash of colour. The overall look is of geometric, contemporary lines. Inside, this is mirrored with minimalist, chic interiors.

Kingsgate will consist of 32 two and three bedroom apartments and three bedroom duplex penthouses and 12 three bedroom townhouses set around a central space that provides secure car parking. The development is situated close to the town centre.

Ward is offering its part-exchange package at both its Maidstone developments.

It can arrange part-exchange of a home within just seven days and offer a fair market price, allowing the buyer to move quickly and easily, without having to go through the sleepless nights of finding - and keeping - a buyer for their home.

With a purchaser lined up, the vendor is guaranteed that the sale is not going to fall through - and the scheme cuts out any agency fees.

The part-exchange deal is subject to Ward's terms and conditions.

Janet Burnell, sales director for Ward Homes, said: “A three-storey house these days can be a townhouse or a detached home, it can have the living room on the top floor and the bedrooms on the bottom. It will have at least one bathroom on most, if not all, of the floors and it might be traditional in design or contemporary.

“The fact is that if we are to avoid turning our country into one vast, sprawling suburbia, we are going to have to throw away our preconceptions about tall houses and switch onto the fact that they offer the most tremendous adaptability in an age of diverse lifestyle requirements.”

Prices at Moncktons Reach start from just £210,000. For further information call the sales office on 01622 363730 or visit the website, www.wardhomes.co.uk

Prices at Kingsgate start from £165,000. For further information on part-exchange, or an opportunity to view the stunning townhouse show home - open from 10.30am to 5pm - please phone 01622 609963.
